From 20th January the measurement of speed limits on Irish roads will change from miles per hour to kilometres per hour (km/h). In addition there will be significant changes to the speed limits on some categories of Irish roads, the most important being the lowering of the speed limit on most regional and local roads outside of built-up areas from 60mph to 80 km/h (equivalent to 50mph). posted by Anonymous at 4:55 PM Comment (0)
